Privacy policy
What data we keep, why, and who we share it with.
Controller
Ugen is a brand of Pulso Analytics Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company no. 17196464 (‘we’, ‘us’). You can contact us at contact@ugenstore.com.
We are the controller of your personal data under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.
What data we use and why
For your order: name, email, phone, shipping address, what you bought and the delivery status. We need this to make and ship your order and to help you with it (performance of a contract), and to meet our accounting and tax obligations.
For payment: payments are processed by Stripe. We only receive the payment outcome, the amount and the fee – never your card details.
Designs you upload: the file, the preview and the settings (technique, placement and size), so we can review and produce your design.
Basic measurement, without cookies: we count visits, pages viewed and actions in the shop (such as adding to the bag) without storing anything on your device or recognising you from one visit to the next; each visit uses a random number that disappears when you close the tab. Together with your approximate country and device type, this tells us what works (legitimate interest). If you don't want it, turn on 'Do Not Track' in your browser and we measure nothing.
Browsing, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, products viewed, bag contents, device type and browser, approximate country (worked out by our hosting provider, without storing your IP) and anonymous session recordings via Microsoft Clarity. We use them to understand what works and to improve the shop (legal basis: consent). These measurement cookies aren't used for advertising.
Advertising, only if you accept advertising cookies: Google Ads cookies that tell us which ad brought you to the shop and whether you bought, so we can measure our campaigns (legal basis: consent). They're off unless you allow them, and you can change your mind at any time via ‘Cookies’ in the footer.
Launch list, only if you sign up: your email, language and where you signed up, so we can tell you about new designs (legal basis: consent). Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link; if you ask us to delete you, we delete you completely.
Reviews: a few days after your order ships we email you once to ask for your opinion (legitimate interest). If you write one, we publish your first name and surname initial, your city if you add it, your rating, your words and your photo if you upload one. You can ask us to take it down at any time.
Who we share it with
Our production and logistics workshop in India receives your name, address, phone, email and the garment (with your design, if any) to make and ship it, as does the international courier that delivers your parcel.
Service providers acting on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and files, hosted in London), Vercel (shop hosting), Resend (email delivery) and Microsoft (Clarity, only with your consent).
Some are outside the UK and the EU (India and the United States). In those cases we use the safeguards required by law, such as standard contractual clauses.
We don't sell your data.
Cookies and browser storage
Strictly necessary (no consent needed): ‘consentimiento’ (your cookie choice, 6 months), ‘idioma’ (language, 1 year), ‘pais’ (country, to estimate shipping, 30 days) and your bag, kept in your browser's local storage. Stripe uses its own cookies on the payment page.
Analytics (only if you accept): ‘vid’ (anonymous visitor ID, 1 year), ‘sid’ (session, 30 minutes) and Microsoft Clarity's cookies. If you reject them, we delete them.
You can change your choice at any time via ‘Cookies’ in the footer.
How long we keep it
Order data, for as long as accounting and tax law requires (6 years in the UK). Purchased designs, while needed to produce that order and handle claims; designs that aren't bought are deleted automatically after 60 days. Browsing data, for 13 months (bags that don't end in a purchase, 90 days); you can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your data, object to its use, receive a portable copy and withdraw your consent. Write to us at contact@ugenstore.com. We'll respond within one month.
You can also complain to the data protection authority: in the UK, the ICO (ico.org.uk); in the EU, your national data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the update here. Last updated: 2026-10-13.
